Three screenings at SXSW

February 19, 2011

Mothersbane will have three screenings as part of the Documentary Shorts program at SXSW this year. Click here to see the schedule.

I’m very happy to report that Mothersbane has been accepted to the South by Southwest film festival in Austin, Texas. SXSW announced its official Short Film program lineup today – MB will be screened in one of the festival’s two Short Documentary programs. They expect to release in the program calendar in the next few days.

Mothersbane was awarded an Honorable Mention for Best Short documentary at the Fargo Film Festival. The festival runs from March 1-5. SFSU students have had a bit of success at the FFF in the past – classmate Mackenzie Mathis won best experimental short last year for his film Float, and this year my co-instructor at State, Silvia Turchin, was awarded an honorable mention for her experimental documentary 131 Russ.
